Mechanism permitting 'free float' in the armchair or lock in any given position; the TILT mechanism allows the user to lock the armchair in one position for work an to release the lock for the 'free float', while the MULTIBLOCK mechanism allows the user to lock the armchair in several positions or to release the lock for 'free float mode'. The MULTIBLOCK mechanism has an extra function to protect the user from impact by the backrest after the shell lock is released and the chair is switched to 'free float'. Special protection preventing the backrest from hitting the user's back after the lock is released and the chair is placed in 'rocking' position.
